Taking Action for our Future.

welcome to the ec.

The ANU Environment Collective is for anyone who wants to learn about and take action on environmental and social justice issues. We run (and win!) campaigns, discuss ideas, screen documentaries, roadtrip through communities and heaps more.

New faces are always welcome!

The EC meets at ANU every Tuesday at 5pm.

Our Campaigns.

We take action on and off campus.
We believe that environmental and social justice issues are inseperable.

The ANU Environment Collective currently has two main focuses.

With our Fossil Free ANU campaign, we’re working to get the Australian National University to divest all its holdings in fossil fuels. Fossil fuels cause incredible damage to ecological and human health, and contribute to the wanton destruction that is climate change. By investing in fossil fuels, the ANU provides a social contract for fossil fuel industries to keep polluting.

We also run trainings, workshops and other events on campus to build skills activist and engagement skills amongst the student population. As we are a collective, it also means you can bring your own ideas to the group and we can support you with skills to run an event or campaign!
